Go to products > speed camera detection > Spy. You can find the document: ‘Spy download database’. Each step you have to do is explained in this document.

Place your Spy on the windshield using the suctions cups. Make sure the solar panel is pointed towards the sky, so that it can be charged by sunlight and so that it can easily catch the GPS satellites, necessary to receive the speed camera warnings.

  • Pres the button for about 3 seconds, then the blue light goes on and stay on. You will hear a double tone.
  • Now the SPY will search for satellites. The Green LED is flashing now.
  • When the satellites are found, the green LED goes off and you will hear a single beep.

Now, the SPY will warn you when you approach a fixed speed camera.

Go to products > Speed camera detection (or carkits) > Blue Alert Gold. You can find the document: ‘Camera update procedure’. Each step you have to do is explained in this document.

When you have switched the GPS warning system on, the Blue Alert Gold will start searching for GPS satellites. ‘S-r-c-h’ (‘search’) will appear on the display.

As soon as the connection with the satellites is established, you will hear: ‘Satellites OK’

Attention!
When you are using the Blue Alert for the first time, it can take a little longer for the device to catch the satellites. Next time this will take less than one minute.

The Blue Alert will stay constantly connected with 4 to 12 satellites. If the connection is shortly cut (e.g. when driving through flyunders and tunnels), ‘S-r-c-h’ will again appear on the display.

This is not caused by the carkit but by the phone’s Bluetooth settings inside the chipset that is used for the Blackberry phone. This setting has to do with “safety” for the ear’s and for getting less problems with all kind of Bluetooth products.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR BLACKBERRY USERS!

Some Blackberry phones (not all models) automatically enable an echo suppression function in the phone. This function can decrease the carkit’s sound quality and should therefore be turned off.

How?
Select ‘BC6000’ In your paired devices list –> Properties –> Echo Suppression –> OFF.
